Free! Printable Turner Classic Movies March 2024 Schedule, Plus Star of the Month Debbie Reynolds
Turner Classic Movies’ 31 Days of Oscar event, which began last month, continues through Sunday, March 10 until this year’s Academy Awards will be given out (the 96th Oscars airs live March 10 on ABC). The network is doing something different for the rest of the month as it brings back its Star of the Month programming block. This month’s star, legendary actress and singer Mary Frances Reynolds, better known as Debbie Reynolds, will be celebrated with lineups of her films over five consecutive nights at the end of March.
It kicks off on March 25 with six musicals, beginning with one of the actress’ most famous movies: 1952’s Singin’ in the Rain, costarring Gene Kelly and Donald O’Connor. That evening also features some of Reynolds’ other early film appearances, in musicals like The Daughter of Rosie O’Grady (1950, her second film) and Three Little Words (1950, her third film). Six more Reynolds-led musicals and comedies are on tap for March 26, with titles including The Catered Affair (1956) and The Affairs of Dobie Gillis (1953).
On March 27, enjoy six romantic comedies starring Reynolds, such as Tammy and the Bachelor (1957), The Mating Game (1959), The Tender Trap (1955) and This Happy Feeling (1958), making its TCM premiere. Another network premiere is featured during the seven-film March 28 lineup: the 1964 comedy Goodbye Charlie. The Star of the Month salute to Reynolds concludes with the March 29 lineup of six movies that begins with the 1964 Western musical/comedy The Unsinkable Molly Brown, which earned the star a Best Actress Oscar nomination.
