Kyra Sedgwick appeared on The View today and wasn’t afraid to shy away from some hot topics. She is very involved in politics and urged viewers to get involved this year. She also spoke about taking her son, Travis, to a drag queen show when he was a kid, many years ago. At the time, it caused some controversy but Sedgwick said that she was confused that people still care since there are so many pressing issues going on in the world.

During the chat, Sedgwick was asked about an upcoming film called Connescence, which will also star her real-life husband of 35 years Kevin Bacon. This will be their first film together in decades. They’ve also appeared in films such as Pyrates, Lemon Sky, and The Woodsman. Co-host Sara Haines asked Sedgwick if it was easier to film the love scenes with her husband rather than someone she doesn’t know very well.

Sedgwick shared, “I mean, I think the thing that you have to hide is the fact that you’ve known each other for 35 years. I mean, you’re usually playing strangers who meet — and it’s a rom-com, it’s far from coming out, so don’t go looking for it yet — and hopefully we’re good enough actors that you will believe us and buy into these characters. Of course you will, because it’s not us, at all. But it’s great working together, it’s really fun.”

Haines added, “I remember the movie ‘Pyrates.’ If anyone hasn’t seen ‘Pyrates,’ there’s a pretty crazy intimacy scene. So was that harder?” Sedgwick responded, “Yes, definitely, because you’re like, again, you’re trying to make it look like this is the first time. It’s definitely not.” At the time, they were newly married and had one child, so they thought it would be fun to do a film with lots of romance scenes! These days, when they are not working, they spend a lot of time together at home, posting adorable videos on social media and handling their farm. They have chickens, pigs, and goats, which of course, have adorable names like Hocus and Little Man.
