‘Mrs. Doubtfire’ Stars Reunite For Film’s 31st Anniversary Plus Another Fun Reason
Three former child stars reunited to celebrate the anniversary of their beloved movie Mrs. Doubtfire. Matthew Lawrence, Lisa Jakub and Mara Wilson came together in San Francisco to reminisce about portraying siblings in the Robin Williams film and perhaps open up about the experience in a podcast.
Mrs. Doubtfire came out in 1993 and followed Williams’ character Daniel as he struggled to remain close to his kids after separating from his wife Miranda (Sally Field). Eventually, he decides to dress up in drag and become an English nanny named Mrs. Doubtfire as a way to be around his kids every day without his ex knowing.

The movie remains a classic Williams comedy after he passed away in 2014. It did quite well in theaters and earned an Oscar for Best Makeup for Williams’ elaborate costume and makeup. During their reunion, Wilson shared a photo of the trio and teased that they reunited to record an episode of Lawrence’s Brotherly Love podcast, which he hosts with his brothers and fellow actors Joey and Andy Lawrence.

Wilson wrote, alongside several photos of their reunion in San Francisco, “So funny that the same week I went to San Francisco, I got to reunite with my Doubtfire siblings! It’s always a joy to see @lisa.jakub and @matthewlawrence, and always so much fun to be on @officialbrotherlylovepod.”
If you’re interested in watching the nostalgic film, you can watch it now on the streaming service Disney+. You can listen to the podcast episode wherever you listen to podcasts on platforms such as Spotify and Apple. What is your favorite scene in Mrs. Doubtfire?
