Lee Majors, Lindsay Wagner, Barbara Eden, Julie Newmar, & Other Classic Film & TV Stars Converge at The Hollywood Show (PHOTOS)
On June 7 and 8, The Hollywood Show took place in Los Angeles and brought with it clusters of stars both past and present. Fans of all ages showed up in droves to buy exclusive memorabilia and catch a glimpse of their favorite film and TV actors. As usual with the long-running pop culture convention, The Hollywood Show also allows you the rare opportunity to nab your favorite star’s autograph or even snap a high-quality photo with them. Sometimes you can even score group photos with an entire cast. Of course, there are also the panels that oftentimes reunite castmates who have not been together in the same room for years.
Such highlights this included a Bionic Woman panel, which reunited Jaime Sommers herself—the beloved Lindsay Wagner—with Dr. Rudy Wells—played by the great Alan Oppenheimer. While Lee Majors did not make an appearance at this particular panel, he did however reunite with longtime screen pal Wagner to snap some photos with gleeful fans. There was also a very cool Bionic Museum featuring pristine props and wardrobe from The Six Million Dollar Man and The Bionic Woman. Also some very special friends dropped by to say hello to Kate Jackson and Martha Smith. Dennis Duckwall (producer), Greg Morton (Jamie King), and Paul Stout (Phillip King). They had not seen Kate since filming The Scarecrow & Mrs. King and are all pictured below.
Sid Krofft also stole the show at not one, but two different panels: one reunited the cast of Sigmund and the Sea Monsters, the other brought together most of the core cast of Land of the Lost including Wesley Eure and Kathy Coleman. Krofft spent most of the time charming the audience with his most cherished on-set memories as well as a few hilarious anecdotes involving legendary actress Bette Davis and Poltergeist star Zelda Rubinstein.
Other notable panels included a Mr. Belvedere reunion and the one-two punch that was a combined Good Times and What’s Happening reunion. Let’s just say the latter was “DYN-O-MITE!” On the floor, some of the stars who drew the biggest crowds for autographs were the always divine Barbara Eden, best known as Jeannie from I Dream of Jeannie (she too packed the house with her very own panel); the stunning Julie Newmar (arguably one of the best Catwomen, ever), and Corey Feldman, star of ‘80s favorites such as The Lost Boys, The Goonies, and Gremlins. Feel like you missed out by not attending The Hollywood Show? Don’t worry! They have another convention coming up October 18 and 19. But if you want to see what you missed during June’s convention, what follows is a gallery of some of our favorite sites including fans grinning ear to ear with some of our favorite stars, glimpses of the showroom floor, and a sneak peek at the Bionic Museum.
