NECA Unveils Exclusive ALF, Nosferatu, Flash Gordon, & Predator Action Figures For San Diego Comic-Con
We’re just about one month away from San Diego Comic-Con, the largest comics and pop culture event in the United States. And collector’s on the lookout for exclusive collectibles might want to make their way to the NECA booth, which will be at its usual spot (booth #3545 to be exact). As they do every year, NECA has announced a new crop of throwback action figures that’ll be available exclusively at SDCC and online. So far, they’re revealed four of those figures and here they are.

First up is ALF, that furry, cat-loving alien life-form from Melmac who was also the star of the 1986 sitcom of the same name. NECA actually offered an SDCC exclusive ALF action figure last year, but it was such a hit that he’s making a comeback again—and this time he’s appropriately dressed for the occasion. Sporting his own homemade superhero cosplay, this 7-inch Super ALF action figure comes with accessories including a wired cape, interchangeable hands, a phone mounted on a selfie stick, a poster tube with an actual poster inside, and stickers. And it all comes in NECA’s sleek window box packaging with opening front flap.

NECA’s next SDCC exclusive item is sure to have horror collectors glowing with excitement. The Dark Count Orlok, better known as Nosferatu, is getting his own 7-inch action figure—and this creature of the night glows in the dark. This posable, retro-style figure sports the likeness of Max Schreck, who played the vampiric villain from the 1922 black-and-white classic Nosferatu. No collection of classic movie monsters is complete without Count Orlok and he comes packaged with a classic tribute blister card.

Next up is this all-new 7-inch figure of your favorite savior of the universe. We’re of course talking about the hunky hero Flash Gordon, but this figure is based on the 1980 live-action movie version and features the likeness of actor Sam Jones. Drawing inspiration from the “Wood Beast Challenge” scene, this articulated deluxe figure comes with interchangeable expressions and hands, Prince Barin’s sword, a whip, a tree stump, and a replica of the Wood Beast.

And finally, we have a new Predator action figure, although it’s not the classic big bad from 1987’s Predator. This is an ancestor as seen in the 2022 prequel Prey. Set in 1719, the film follows Naru, a skilled warrior from the Comanche tribe who crosses paths with one of the mandible-jawed alien hunters out in the Great Plains. This particular iteration of the Predator is known as the Feral Predator because he sports tech and weaponry slightly less advanced than his cinematic counterparts. NECA’s new Ultimate Feral “Camo Reveal” Predator is a 7-inch scale figure that comes loaded with all the accessories you’d expect him to carry: a bone mask, bear trap, hatchet, bombs, wolf head and spine, wrist blades, and much more. There’s even a mini replica of the flintlock pistol—an easter egg from the film that actually originally appeared in 1990’s Predator 2. And it all comes in special translucent packaging with a slipcover that mimics the camouflage effect the Feral Predator uses to hunt his prey.
Pricing on the above action figures is currently unavailable, but we do know that NECA’s Comic-Con presale runs from June 26–28 at theNECAstore.com. If you want to take your chances and nab these collectibles in person, NECA will have a limited amount for sale during the Comic-Con convention which runs from July 25–28 at the San Diego Convention Center.
