Carol Burnett & Vicki Lawrence to Reunite on Next Season of ‘Palm Royale?’

Television legend/comedian Carol Burnett recently spoke to IndieWire about a potentially exciting future for the hit Apple TV+ series, Palm Royale, which already features a star-studded cast alongside Burnett, including Kristin Wiig, Ricky Martin, Allison Janney and Laura Dern, but could potentially become even more so in Season 2.

Apparently, Burnett’s former Carol Burnett Show and Mama’s Family costar Vicki Lawrence is a big fan of the show. Burnett told IndieWire that Lawrence not only watched Palm Royale but “loved” the glitzy ’60s satire series, which follows an elite group of Floridian women who control the community of an exclusive Palm Beach resort and the scrappy, ambitious pageant queen (Wiig) who will stop at anything to get into the inner circle.

“I wish they could find something for [Vicki] on the show,” said Burnett. “I’m going to ask [series creator] Abe [Sylvia] if there’s a part that might come up because that would be fun to have Vicki on. That would really be something. And not just a mercy booking. That’s not what I mean. But if there’s a role that she could sink her teeth into, because she is a very good actress.”
