‘Dallas’ Star Patrick Duffy Wants to Slow Down With His Girlfriend Linda Purl (But Does She?)
It could be trouble in paradise for nostalgic stars Patrick Duffy and Linda Purl. Duffy (best known for Dallas and Step by Step) has been dating Purl (best known for Happy Days and Matlock) since 2020. The two met years ago but reconnected in a group chat with some mutual friends. Eventually, they started dating and while they seem all smiles traveling all over the world, a source said that Duffy is growing tired of traveling and wants to settle down at home.
Duffy is a little older than Purl so the constant traveling may be hard on him. The source told Closer, “Living out of a suitcase can be tiresome especially when you’re 75, like he is. But this is clearly the way Linda wants it and Patrick’s going along with it.” Purl is 68.

In December of last year, Duffy sold his Oregon ranch to live with Purl in Colorado. Since then, they have been to places such as Mexico, New York and even Toyko. While fans seem to be enjoying the updates on social media, the source added that Duffy may also be getting tired of spending so much money as he has always been used to a more “frugal lifestyle.”

However, the couple responded to Closer with a statement: “We are very much in love and looking forward to celebrating our fourth anniversary, later this month in Colorado. Grateful for health, our boys and dear friends.”

Prior to beginning their relationship, Duffy was married to Carlyn Rosser from 1974 until her death in 2017. Purl has been married four times (her first marriage was to Desi Arnaz Jr.) but has been single since 2011.
