We previously reported that Dukes of Hazzard star John Schneider has been dating TV host Dee Dee Sorvino, and now it seems the two have gotten hitched! Schneider shared the exciting news on his Facebook page that they got married in Las Vegas last night. The wedding took place at Vegas Weddings in the back of a white convertible. The two first bonded over the loss of their former spouses.

“Big news big news everybody! Dee Dee and I got hitched last night in Vegas!” Schneider wrote. “Those of you who’ve been riding shotgun with me this last year and a half or so can understand that I never dreamed that happiness would be possible again. I’m here to tell you that you are stronger than you think! And those folks who have ‘gone on ahead’ are absolutely not only watching from above …”

He continued, “But giving us the necessary small nudge … and the occasional kick in the butt to do the right things! I honestly never thought I would ever laugh again … and now I laugh all the time! I sure do love that crazy dame at the end of the bar! Thanks Dee Dee! Thanks, Paul!! Thanks, Alicia!!!” He referenced their spouses who passed away. Sorvino was married to Paul Sorvino until his death in 2022, and Schneider was married to Alicia Allain until she died in 2023.

Schneider spoke on a recent podcast called Grace Begins, The Podcast about how they bonded over being widows and said, “God sent a widower to a widow and a widow to a widower who [gets] it, who understands. Because I tell you what, I was ready to give it up, all of it — everything. Then just when I thought the very notion of dating or holding another hand was repulsive, I met this one, that crazy dame over there.”

Donelle Dadigan, president and founder of the Hollywood Museum in the historic Max Factor building, will host their wedding celebration, and said, “Since John and Dee Dee met in person for the first time at the Hollywood Museum, I felt it would be appropriate that we host their official wedding celebration, we are looking forward to celebrating Dee Dee & John, and their love for each other.”

Congratulations to the happy couple! Share your thoughts in the comments.
