Items From ‘The Sound of Music,’ ‘Forrest Gump’ & Elvis Featured on MeTV’s ‘Collector’s Call’
Facts of Life star Lisa Whelchel is back with another episode of MeTV‘s Collector’s Call this Sunday featuring Grammy Award-winning music producer and performer Chris Christian. For any movie and music lover, Christian’s collection will truly make you feel alive… with The Sound of Music, perhaps? That’s right, Christian’s collection includes gorgeous costumes from the Julie Andrews classic The Sound of Music.
During each episode of Collector’s Call, Whelchel checks out some incredible private collections of nostalgic memorabilia. With the help of professional appraisers, they discover what the items are really worth and offer a trade with another valuable item that might be perfect for the person’s collection. The collectors must decide if they want to give something up in order to add something exciting to their assortment of pop culture products.
On the August 4 episode, “Meet Chris Christian – Movie Props & Costumes,” Christian will appear with the full set of curtain costumes the Von Trapp children wore in The Sound of Music, the bench from Forrest Gump, the neon sign and guitar from Wayne’s World and even the personal Victrola of the late Elvis Presley. Expert appraiser Greg Holman, who has worked for Heritage Auctions, will be on hand to discover the value of Christian’s collection and offer up an exciting trade.
Check out all of the collectible items that Christian will showcase and if he will make a trade on MeTV on Sunday, August 4, at 6:30pm EST. Check out a sneak peek of the episode below! Let us know if you’ll be watching, and which item you are most excited to learn the value of!
