Tom Jones and Engelbert Humperdinck were once two of the sexiest singers in the 1960s, gaining the attention of women everywhere. Both stars are now in their 80s and continue to perform. While they were feuding many years ago, they clearly have not made amends. Earlier this year, Humperdinck sparked another fight when he said about Jones in an interview: “I think he’s lost his voice. I don’t think he’s got it anymore.”

Jones responded, “There’s nothing friendly about him and I. He’s a p****, quote me on that. We fell out years ago. He’s tried, but I won’t talk to him.”

Their feud reportedly began around 60 years ago when they were both signed to Decca Records and started releasing hit songs. Jealousy was sparked when their songs hit the charts and both wanted to outdo the other. One of Jones’s former girlfriends also shared that Humperdinck flirted with her and kept the fire between them going. She claimed that when she told Jones of Humperdinck’s advances, he just “sat there in stony silence.” She added, “I am sure there was good old-fashioned jealousy there. They competed against each other for everything.”

When Jones’s wife Linda passed away in 2016, Humperdinck said that he offered his condolences and tried to mend fences, but Jones never responded. While the duo once performed back in 1969, it seems that they will never hold the same stage again and will continue to be enemies until the end. Do you have a favorite between the two?
