Kelly Bishop, who played the perpetually aggrieved high society matriarch of the Gilmore Girls clan, Emily Gilmore, recently revealed which of Rory’s boyfriends was her favorite.

“I have to admit I’m Team Logan, although I really love the other two,” Bishop said in a new interview with her publisher Gallery Books Group on Instagram. The interview is likely the first of many as Bishop’s new memoir The Third Gilmore Girl will land on bookshelves in just two short weeks, on Tuesday, Sept. 17, with a forward by the Gilmore Girls showrunner herself, Amy Sherman-Palladino.

Bishop said she prefers the Yale undergrad played by Matt Czuchry because “There is something about his acting that I particularly liked in working with him … He had a very manly quality, where the other guys were like boys. Great boys! But Logan was like an old movie star, like a man.”

I don’t know about you, but I am pretty excited to read all the juicy, behind-the-scenes stories of the beloved Stars Hollow that Bishop may include in the new book. Of course, that’s not the only role Bishop has tackled. In addition to wowing us as Emily Gilmore for 7 seasons and its miniseries revival, Bishop was also on another (very underrated and short-lived) Palladino show, Bunheads. Before that, she was in the great Michael Chabon film adaptation Wonder Boys, and, of course, who can forget her role as Baby’s mother in Dirty Dancing?
