‘Little House on the Prairie’ Cast Still Dealing With Event Drama
Fans were so excited to hear that many of the surviving cast members of Little House on the Prairie were reuniting for the show’s 50th anniversary. Unfortunately, the event did not go as planned. After a disastrous event and many fan complaints, the cast decided to cut ties with the event company Gravel Road Markets. Gravel Road Markets’ promoter Jack Bishop ignored their requests and did not let fans know that the cast would not be attending future events.
The cast asked Bishop and the company to “remove our names and likenesses from sales and marketing assets supporting any upcoming Little House on the Prairie 50th anniversary events produced or promoted by Gravel Road Markets LLC.” Instead of canceling the events on the website, they were marked as “sold out.”
For those who do not follow the cast on social media, fans still attended an event in September and were surprised to hear that the cast would not be there. The cast shared an additional statement after they learned “many fans traveled to Keystone, South Dakota, to attend what Jack Bishop should have announced weeks ago as a canceled Little House on the Prairie 50th anniversary event.”
Seemingly only after TV Line shared the news did Bishop decide to finally remove the events from his website and mark them as canceled on Eventbrite. Fans who purchased tickets to these events are being instructed to get refunds from Eventbrite and their credit card companies.
Although Gravel Road Markets is no longer hosting Little House on the Prairie events, they are still in the nostalgic game. They are hosting several events in relation to Grease and The Waltons this year.
