Where is Leif Garrett? Mystery Social Post & Memorabilia Sales Update

We previously reported that teen idol Leif Garrett shared his first Facebook page update in several years. While he achieved high levels of fame in the 1970s, he struggled with addiction in the decades to come and has since stayed out of the spotlight. Now, it seems that he is ready to reconnect with his fans and sell some of his beloved memorabilia. With the original post, we questioned whether it was truly Garrett or a scammer.
Now, Garrett heard many of his fans’ questions and confirmed that the post was real (although, I’d personally still like to see video confirmation, so hopefully he will share that soon!). He wrote, “Hey friends, The site hasn’t been hacked and nothing has been stolen. Aside from my full sister Dawn, I also have a half-sister. I was taking care of mom and dad before my sister Dawn had her brain surgery. I just wanted to clear that up for all of you. There’s more stuff in the works and I’ll be in touch soon. Peace, love, and happiness. Leif.”
In a separate post, he thanked fans for their support and said, “It’s me again. I just wanted to thank you all for still thinking of me and giving a $*?#! You guys are awesome, and I love you. Leif.” In addition to his posts, a Facebook page and website called Merch and Memorabilia Services, LLC has popped up claiming to be working with Garrett to sell his old merchandise and memorabilia in order for him to downsize. Tim, who runs the business, said that he has known Garrett for almost a decade and also confirmed that it was really him posting.
If you’re a fan of Garrett and want to see what kind of memorabilia will be up for sale, follow along on this page and there should be a website launched soon. What do you think of this ongoing story?
