’90s ‘Addams Family’ Cast Reunited for the First Time in Many Years
Does it get any better than opening the windows to a cool fall breeze, sipping your favorite warm beverage under a cozy blanket and turning on a Halloween-themed movie in October? I think not! Whether you’re into horror films or more family-friendly fare, you’ve likely seen at least one version of the popular series and movies The Addams Family, following the creepy and kooky family of Gomez, Morticia, Wednesday, Pugsley and their home of interesting friends and family.
Over the weekend, several of the cast members from the 1991 movie version reunited at Los Angeles Comic Con. Christopher Lloyd, who played Uncle Fester, shared a reunion photo also featuring Anjelica Huston, who played Morticia Addams; Christina Ricci, who played Wednesday Addams; Jimmy Workman, who played Pugsley Addams; and Carel Struycken, who played Lurch.
He captioned the photo, “The family that haunts together, stays together…💀🖤,” and fans of the ’90s classic could not get enough, especially since it is the perfect season to rewatch the movie. This was the first time the actors reunited for a fan event and opened up about the film in a panel.
They made sure to remember the Raúl Juliá, who played Gomez Addams in the film. He passed away in 1994 at the age of 54 after complications from a stroke. “He was the perfect gentleman,” Huston shared. “He was always first on set, last to leave. He was incredibly amenable. He’d do anything you asked him to. He’s a great dancer … He was a consummate professional, really great, really fun. He would always sing, between scenes, between takes, he would always sing opera. He would keep us entertained.”
