‘The Brady Bunch’ Kids Celebrate 55th Anniversary of Series With Charity Event
It is hard to believe that one of the world’s most famous families turns 55! That’s right, The Brady Bunch is celebrating its 55th anniversary this year. The series, which showcased what happened when two families blended together, ran from 1969 to 1974 and surged in popularity in the years following due to syndication.
Several of the cast members including Barry Williams, Christopher Knight and Eve Plumb recently appeared on TODAY to talk about the show, celebrate its anniversary and discuss their new charity event. When asked if they ever imagined they would still be talking about the sitcom 55 years later, Williams responded, “There would be no way to anticipate that, except that I think syndication has helped a lot.” The cast said that when they started doing personal appearances and noticed how many fans attended, they realized how iconic the show was becoming.
The Brady kids got back together in 2019 to renovate the home that served as the outside of the sitcom house in an HGTV show called A Very Brady Renovation.
Now, the new owner of the home, Tina Trahan, is lending them the iconic Brady Bunch house for a good cause. The Brady Experience is a charity event to benefit the organization called No Kid Hungry, which helps end childhood hunger. Fans who donate can win a chance to have breakfast with the cast at the original Brady house! There will be five winners, who are allowed to bring a guest and will win a trip to Los Angeles for the special event.
Of course, they joked that they would be serving pork chops and applesauce! Enter to win here and learn more details about the event and the charity.
