Right now, there are four fires burning through Los Angeles County, with the worst being located in the Palisades. The Palisades fire has killed 10, impacted over 10,000 structures, and caused more than 180,000 Los Angeles area residents to evacuate their homes. Among those impacted are Jamie Lee Curtis, Mark Hamill, Steve Guttenberg and other classic stars.

Actress Jamie Lee Curtis — who starred in the 2003 remake of Freaky Friday, which was partially filmed at Palisades Charter High School, one of the buildings that has been destroyed in the fire — gave some updates of her own. She shared a photo of the fires and wrote in part, “My community and possibly my home is on fire. My family is safe. Many of my friends will lose their homes. Many other communities as well. There are so many conflicting reports. With all the technology there seems to be very little information.”

While it appears Curtis’ home was spared, she is being very generous and donating $1 million to relief efforts.

“Words cannot describe the enormity of the devastation we are witnessing and experiencing,” Billy Crystal and his wife, Janice, said of their Pacific Palisades home. “We ache for our friends and neighbors who have also lost their homes and businesses in this tragedy. Janice and I lived in our home since 1979. We raised our children and grandchildren here. Every inch of our house was filled with love. Beautiful memories that can’t be taken away. We are heartbroken of course but with the love of our children and friends we will get through this.”

James Woods

Actor James Woods shared a photo of a house on fire and wrote, “To all the wonderful people who’ve reached out to us, thank you for being so concerned. Just letting you know that we were able to evacuate successfully. I do not know at this moment if our home is still standing, but sadly houses on our little street are not.”

Steve Guttenberg

Actor Steve Guttenberg was able to evacuate and help others do the same as the highways became clogged with people trying to get away from the fires. He helped fire crews move cars out of the way, which enabled more residents to leave and helped the firefighters get to the blaze.

He also seemingly blasted news outlets that he felt were downplaying the tragedy by adding, “* there “were” small fires* ^ (gimme a break- we were fleeing for our lives) Stay Safe Everyone 🙏🙏🙏”

Diane Warren

“This is the last pic I took of Leah’s rock from my beach house,” she shared on Instagram.“I’ve had this house for almost 30 years. It looks like it was lost in the fire last nite. There’s a rainbow shining on it which I’m taking as a sign of hope for all creatures who have been affected by this tragedy. The animals and the rescue ranch are OK tho which is the most important thing. Stay safe everyone.”
