Ann-Margret Thrills Fans Attending The Hollywood Show

The Hollywood Show in Burbank, California, provided a safe and welcome reprieve for hundreds of fans who showed up to meet their favorite celebrities. The biggest crowd-drawer on the opening night (Friday, Jan. 10) was beloved Hollywood icon Ann-Margret, who at 83 was absolutely radiant.

A line spanned the side of the convention hall for the first-time attendee, and when the 5’3” redheaded beauty finally arrived —sporting her signature wide-framed glasses, a fur-lined purple sweater that at times exposed a bare shoulder, and black pants — the crowd responded with cheers and a round of applause.

Fans ranged in age from their early 20s to seniors, many toting a piece of memorabilia they wanted Margret to sign — and that she did for hours taking extra care of their precious items (wearing a black glove to do so), while talking to each of them. One fan brought a canvas painting from Elvis and Margret’s Viva Las Vegas (1964), others had posters but many were purchasing the glossy pics Margret brought to the show.

The sultry and oh-so-cool Pam Grier — donning a black hat and leather pants — was generous with her time and stories as she greeted each fan and signed everything from Jackie Brown (1997) posters and soundtracks, to glossies of the actress/singer in Coffy (1973), Foxy Brown (1974) and more. She shared special words of inspiration to a young fan who inspired her musically, and hugged others, leaving each fan with a special 45 record she dug out of her bag. As she handed them the record she read the song title and then autographed it. We got “You’ve Been in Love Too Long” by Martha & The Vandellas.

A Clockwork Orange’s Malcolm McDowell wasn’t happy with the film’s ranking in ReMIND’s July/August 2024 issue and laughed when we showed him a copy jokingly pushing it back at us demanding a higher rating. The British legend will return tomorrow (Saturday, Jan. 10) where he will take the stage to discuss his illustrious career.
