Ringo Starr’s New CBS Concert Special Will Raise Funds for Wildfire Victims

The BeatlesRingo Starr will get by with a little help from his friends this week, when he records Ringo & Friends at the Ryman, a two-hour concert special featuring Jack White, Sheryl Crow, Brenda Lee, Emmylou Harris, and others, at the Ryman Auditorium in Nashville. The special, which will be recorded on January 14 and 15, 2025, will air on CBS and stream on Paramount+ at a later date. Proceeds from the concert’s all-star performance of “With a Little Help From My Friends” will benefit the American Red Cross and those suffering in the California wildfires.

The star-studded special will celebrate Starr’s career and impact on his fellow musicians, as well as his new country album, Look Up. Starr will perform some of his new songs, along with solo hits and Beatles classics.

Special guests also include Rodney Crowell, Mickey Guyton, Sarah Jarosz, Jamey Johnson, Billy Strings, The War and Treaty, Larkin Poe, Molly Tuttle and more to be announced at a later date. Several of the guest artists will share stories of Starr’s incredible impact on their music.

“It is always a thrill to play the Ryman, and this time we are going country!” Starr said about the special. “[Look Up producer] T Bone [Burnett] has put together a great show. I’m excited to hear my songs done in a country vein and to play with this incredible group of musicians. It will be two nights of peace, love and country music.”
