40 years ago, The Breakfast Club, starring Molly Ringwald, Anthony Michael Hall, Ally Sheedy, Emilio Estevez and Judd Nelson, truly defined a generation. Now, almost all of the stars are reuniting in Chicago for the movie’s anniversary at C2E2 2025, very close to where they filmed the classic.

Ringwald, Hall, Sheedy and Nelson will attend the event on Saturday, April 12 and Sunday, April 13. They will be available for autographs and photo-ops, with Hall appearing on Friday as well. Currently, the general public does not have the ability to sign up to meet the ’80s stars until later this year, but members of the Popverse C2E2 Superfan tier can book photo-ops and autographs in an exclusive presale happening now.

The stars also recently reunited at another convention in Orlando, appearing in a panel discussion at MegaCon Orlando on Friday, Feb. 7. The four (with Estevez once again absent) opened up about acting in high school films and how it differed from their actual experiences.

“Whenever I got to do a movie I got to leave my school and that was amazing,” Ringwald shared. “We’d go do a scene in the library and then study algebra with our studio teacher. But it was fun.”

“I was really happy when we were making this movie, we all really … I don’t know if you can tell but we all really do love each other. It was a dream,” Sheedy added. “A joyful experience.”

C2E2 2025 is a pop culture convention in downtown Chicago that focuses on comics, cosplay, authors, anime and gaming — but, of course, it can also honor some classic films. It is a way to meet your favorite nostalgic celebrities, literary authors, and comic creators and visit unique exhibitors.

This year, it will be held on April 11-13, 2025, at Chicago’s McCormick Place.
