Folk legend Judy Collins has announced an 85th birthday concert at New York City’s Town Hall to celebrate her 60-plus year music career alongside some very notable friends, including Stephen Stills, Richard Thompson, Paula Cole, Rickie Lee Jones and more. The concert, Judy Collins and Friends: 85 Years of Music and Protest, will occur on March 8, 2025, at 8pm. Hosted by neo-folk star Sophie B. Hawkins, the evening will explore Collins’ influence on generations of musicians, with special guests playing and joining Collins on some of her greatest hits and most beloved back-catalog tunes.

Other guest performers for the event will include Justin Vivian Bond, Ari Hest, Oakland Rain, Stephen Schwartz and Beth Nielsen Chapman.

Tickets for the event range from $55-85 and can be purchased through Ticketmaster.

Grammy winner Collins, who is perhaps best known for her 1975 cover of “Send in the Clowns,” is not slowing down in her eighth decade — in 2022, she released Spellbound, her first ever album of entirely self-penned material. Her new book, the poetry collection Sometimes It’s Heaven, will be released in March 2025.
