‘Gilmore Girls’ Will Air Daily on Start TV As Part of 25th Anniversary Celebration
If you’ve been missing your favorite mother-daughter duo and their unforgettable small-town lives, you’re in luck: Gilmore Girls will be joining the lineup on Start TV beginning on May 12, 2025, the day after Mother’s Day, to celebrate the show’s 25th anniversary. Episodes will air every weekday at 5pm ET, with the same episode airing again at 11pm ET. Start TV will begin the series by airing the pilot episode, and air the series in order.
For longtime fans, it’s a chance to fall back into that fast-talking rhythm of life with Lorelai and Rory; and for anyone who missed the Gilmores the first time around and for those who do not have streaming services, there’s never been a better time to hop on. The brainchild of Amy Sherman-Palladino, Gilmore Girls made its debut on October 5, 2000, and quickly became a standout on The WB. With its cozy setting in the fictional New England town of Stars Hollow and its rapid-fire dialogue, the show carved out a special place in television history, with Time magazine even naming it one of the 100 Greatest TV Series of All Time.

At the heart of the series are single mom Lorelai Gilmore (Lauren Graham) and her bookish daughter Rory (Alexis Bledel), whose close-knit relationship made millions of viewers laugh, cry and call their own mothers. The show ran for seven seasons and introduced us to an unforgettable ensemble: Melissa McCarthy, Keiko Agena, Yanic Truesdale, Scott Patterson, Liza Weil, Jared Padalecki, Milo Ventimiglia, Matt Czuchry, Sean Gunn and Kelly Bishop, with the late Edward Herrmann as Lorelai’s father, Richard.
The legacy didn’t stop there. After finding fresh life on Netflix in 2014, the series welcomed a new generation of fans and even got a four-part follow-up, Gilmore Girls: A Year in the Life, which Start TV will also be airing. So grab your cup of coffee and get ready to dive back in with the Gilmore Girls. Start TV is available on broadcast television stations, via select cable and satellite systems, and streaming on YouTube TV, Fubo, Frndly TV and Philo.
