‘I Love Lucy’ Now Streaming 24/7 on Pluto TV
“Lucy I’m home!” The groundbreaking sitcom has found a new home on Pluto TV.
Lucille Ball’s iconic sitcom I Love Lucy remains better than a lifetime’s supply of Vitemeatavegamin. For six seasons (1951–57), Lucy and bestie Ethel (Vivian Vance) bungled an endless parade of hilariously harebrained schemes — mostly involving Lucy’s nightclub singer hubby, Ricky (Ball’s real-life spouse, Desi Arnaz) — and solidified Ball as the grande dame of screwball who would pave the way for funny ladies ranging from Carol Burnett and Betty White to Mindy Kaling and Tina Fey.
During the first four seasons of the show, it became the most-watched television show in the United States. It was the first scripted television show to be shot on 35 mm film in front of a live studio audience and was once voted the ‘Best TV Show of All Time,’ not only for how influential it was but how entertaining it proved to be.

Not only that, it was the first show to feature an interracial couple and the first show to feature a pregnant woman playing a pregnant woman. Lucille became the very first woman to head a Hollywood studio after the success of the show, too.
