‘Brady Bunch’ Bros Talk About Fame with Kate and Oliver Hudson on the ‘Sibling Revelry’ Podcast
Barry Williams, Christopher Knight, and Mike Lookinland (aka Greg, Peter, and Bobby Brady) recently stopped by celebrity siblings Kate Hudson and Oliver Hudson‘s podcast called Sibling Revelry to discuss The Brady Bunch. During one segment of the episode, the trio opened up about how the intense fame of being on such a huge show affected them all differently. Remember, they were all different ages at the time, during the turbulent time of puberty and youth.
Oliver asked the Brady siblings how they each dealt with that level of fame. Williams jumped in first and said that he loved it and admitted that he “thought it was the coolest thing in the world to be recognized, meeting people, and having fun.” Williams was the oldest of the siblings on the show, aged 14 to 20 throughout the show’s filming. He revealed that he also loved having access to the finer things in life, for instance, his first car was a Porsche!
Lookinland stepped in and said that Williams wanted to go into show business to become rich and famous. Meanwhile, Lookinland grew up in a family of entertainers. He said they would go as a family to rotary clubs to sing, so he had some experience in entertainment. He said he enjoyed being on the show and the fame and recognition, but eventually loved to escape it all. When the show ended and he was 17 years old, he decided to fly to Utah to escape the pressures of Los Angeles and the fame. Lookinland fell in love with a quieter lifestyle and still lives there today.
Despite leaving fame behind, he enjoys reuniting with the cast and even teased that they might have one more Brady Bunch reunion special in them! We can only hope!
