Herbie J Pilato

Herbie J Pilato is an award-winning writer, producer, director, actor, singer, and TV personality. Born and raised in Rochester, New York, and today a resident of Los Angeles, Pilato has worked for Sony, Warner Bros., NBC/Universal, CNN, Bravo, TLC, E!, A&E, the Reelz Channel, and other film studios and TV networks. In 2010, he founded the Classic TV Preservation Society, a formal 501(c)3 nonprofit organization dedicated to the positive social influence of classic television programming. His extensive list of critically acclaimed, media tie-in books include Retro Active Television: An In-Depth Perspective on Classic TV’s Social Circuitry (which the Los Angeles Book Festival named “Book of the Year,” and for which he was named “Author of the Year”), The 12 Best Secrets of Christmas, Mary: The Mary Tyler Moore Story, and Twitch Upon a Star: The Bewitched Life and Career of Elizabeth Montgomery, among others. His new and upcoming books include the biographies Connery, Sean Connery and Diana Rigg: One Tough Dame, and Christmas TV Memories: Nostalgic Holiday Favorites of the Small Screen.
