Movie Icon Grace Kelly’s Life in Pictures

THE SWAN, Grace Kelly, 1956
Everett Collection

Grace Kelly was originally a star of the stage and early television. She then enjoyed a short career in Hollywood in the mid-’50s, appearing in High SocietyRear Window and To Catch a Thief before retiring, at age 26, to marry Prince Rainier of Monaco. Kelly had iconic blonde looks, but she had a prim glamour — “the girl in white gloves” she was called — and was widely recognized as the most glamorous actress of her time. Nov. 12, 1929, would mark the late actress’s 95th birthday. Today, we honor her legacy with these cherished pictures that capture her grace, charm and impact on the silver screen and go behind the scenes on her biggest roles and personal life.
